Glenn O’Farrell
Glenn O’Farrell is CEO & Principal at GPOcorp, a boutique holding company and strategic business consultancy services provider to media sector companies. From 2002 to 2008, Mr. O’Farrell was President and CEO of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters (CAB).
Prior to joining the CAB, Glenn acquired extensive operational, business development, legal and regulatory experience at senior levels within the Canadian private broadcasting system, including Senior Vice-President, Specialty Services at CanWest Global and President of Global Québec, where he was the primary architect of Global’s expansion into Québec.
Prior to joining Global, he was the Vice-President of Legal Affairs for the Réseau Pathonic, a Québec-based regional television network consisting of TVA affiliate stations outside of Montreal. Drawing from his broad base of broadcasting operations and industry affairs experience Mr. O’Farrell has made key note presentations in English and French to business audiences and industry conferences across Canada, the U.S. and abroad. He has also served on a number of industry boards.
Originally from St-Malachie, Québec, he studied economics and then law at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia and at Université Laval in Québec City. Since 1983, he has been a member of the Québec and Canadian Bar Associations.
