Steven Guilbeault is a founding member of the non-profit non-governmental organization, Équiterre. Interested in environmental issues and particularly climate change since the early 1990s, Mr. Guilbeault coordinated the Climate and Energy Campaign for Greenpeace for 10 years in Quebec and internationally.

Mr. Guilbeault is currently a columnist for several media including the newspaper Metro and Transcontinental Weeklies. He has also contributed commentary to Radio-Canada, Corporate Knights magazine, the newspaper La Presse and See.

Mr. Guilbeault serves on the advisory committee of Cycle Capital Management, was an adviser to Deloitte & Touche and has attended most United Nations meetings on international climate change.

He has been nominated one of 2009 top 50 world actors for sustainability by the French magazine Le Monde.
